CYBERIA
Requirements:
=============
CYBERIA requires a 386/16 or better with at least 4 MB of RAM and about
1.5 MB of free hard disk space. A Joystick and Sound Card are highly
recommended!
Installation:
=============
To install CYBERIA, place the Demo CD in your drive and type:
D: <ENTER>
INSTALL C: <ENTER>
The installation will create the directory -C:\CYBERIA- on your hard drive
and copy over the necessary program files. After installation, you have
several options:
Calibrate Joystick:
===================
Type CALJOY to run the joystick calibration program.
Playable Demo:
==============
Type CYBERIA to play the demo version of CYBERIA.
Self-Running Demo:
==================
Type DEMO to view the self running demo of CYBERIA.
Note:
Some machines may have problems with the Transfighter firing
mechanism during the self running demo. This problem is due to a slight
difference in some manufacturers CPU chipsets, and is NOT related to your
machine's configuration. If you encounter such problems, switch to the
playable version of the Cyberia demo by typing CYBERIA at the DOS prompt.
Memory Requirements:
====================
CYBERIA requires a 386/16 or better with at least 4 MB of ram. For best
performance you should disable any memory managers which may be present
on your system. Examples of memory managers are EMM386 and QEMM. If you
have problems running CYBERIA, or receive a message stating "Not Enough
Memory," check your CONFIG.SYS file and remove any memory managers. Make
sure to reboot your computer afterwards so the changes will go into effect.
Sound Problems:
===============
This DEMO version of CYBERIA will only play sound on SOUND BLASTER compatible
sound cards.
If the sound does not work, check the BLASTER environment setting
in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file. The line should look something like this:
set BLASTER=A220 I5 D1
/ / /
I/O port_/ / /
/ \
IRQ#_/ DMA channel
The Demo version of CYBERIA supports all IRQ numbers up to 9 and all I/O base
addresses; but only supports DMA channel 1.
* Thank you for playing the demo version of CYBERIA! *
